Similarly, anyone who competes as an athlete does not receive the victor’s crown except by competing according to the rules.

There are rules in every game and every sport you play.
As an athlete, even before you start your training routines, the one thing you need to get it written on your heart and mind is the rules of the game.
The rules should be something an athlete should know thoroughly, thereby being able to formulate a strategy or training plan to win according to the rules.
Likewise, in the Kingdom of God, there are Kingdom rules as well.
An athlete who refuses to play by the rules in the compound of the Kingdom of God will not bear fruits, what more, receive the victor’s crown.
Kingdom rules are equivalent to God’s truth, principles and order.
We are called not to just follow the rules, but embrace it wholeheartedly through abiding to the True vine, remaining in the fellowship with the Holy Spirit and being in obedience to the Father.
Don’t run the race without knowing the rules.
