“But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ”
We live in a world that many things are considered gains to us.
Prestige, Positions, Power and Possessions!
It seems that these are important but only to the eyes of man and not to God.
Man will chase after these things to find satisfaction to their fleshly desires and fulfil their worldly ambitions.
However, these ‘things’ will blind our spiritual eyes and blur our vision, causing us to lose sight of Jesus and His purposes for us in His Kingdom.
According to Paul, these ‘things’ were considered as garbage and completely worthless when it is compared to knowing Christ and the Kingdom assignments that He has given to each of us.
The race that Jesus has marked out for each of us to run is one that is focused on Kingdom purposed assignments, one that will fulfil the Great commission and also propel us to love God and His people.
These are the things that we need to have high regard for.
Reassess again. What are things that are gains to you and what will you count as loss for the sake of Christ?
