“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
2 Timothy 4:7
Living an authentic Christian life is not going to be a bed of roses or simply a walk in the park.
Going to church and listening to your pastor preach once a week during the weekend is not going to be sufficient.
Continuing to blend into the culture, joining the majority and choosing the ‘broad gate’ might lead one to a slippery slope to a life contrary to God’s word.
Does that sound familiar to you?
How are you living your life as a believer of Christ?
To finish the race well and strong in the Lord, it has to be more than just going through the motion or doing the bare minimum, ticking off the check list for a mediocre Christian.
“Its a fight!”, as Paul shared in his final moments, one that requires the keeping and proclaiming of one’s faith and daily putting on the armour of God.
There is a struggle, but one that we can all pull through when we embrace the word of God.
Wherever you are in your race, keep fighting, keep persevering, keep your eyes on Jesus and do not quit until you reach the end.
You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you!
