Verse Of The Week : 27 Mar 2023

March 27, 2023

But the path of the just (righteous) is like the light of dawn, that shines brighter and brighter until [it reaches its full strength and glory in] the perfect day.

Proverbs 4:18

Have you ever witness a sunrise and the progressive appearing of the dawning light?
There is always a sense of certainty and assurance of how the light from the sun will eventually reach its full strength and brightness

King Solomon mirrors this analogy to the path of righteousness.
What is he trying to illustrate here?
Possibly the fact that it will be a familiar hero and villain story with the perfect ending of a victory for the good and righteous.

Justice will prevail.
The just will be vindicated.
The righteous will be honoured.
The victory is assured.

Our response to this is to press on in the seeking of His righteousness and ensuring that nothing will distract us in finishing the race in righteousness.
There is an ending that is already written in His word.
We know the winner.
We know the results.

How then would you want to run this race?
