Verse Of The Week : 23 Jan 2023

January 23, 2023

I will go in the strength of the LORD God; I will proclaim your goodness, yours alone.

Psalm 71:16

Each day, we have a decision to make: are we going to operate in our own strength or are we going to seek a greater Source of strength?
As runners, we know what foods fuel our bodies well and what foods make us feel slow and groggy.
Also, the more you run, the more you need to be well fueled to operate with continual strength and endurance.
To run at our best, we seek outside sources for strength, like nutritional food and clean water.
So, for us to run our best spiritually, we also need to daily seek a Source outside of us for strength.

What is your source of strength?
What is your food and drink for your soul?
God has given us His Word as a source of spiritual strength.
Jesus said that,

Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.

Matthew 4:4

We would laugh if you said that you were going to run your best run ever after not eating for days.
But how often are we spiritually starving our souls and expecting to be at our best?

May His Word and the promises in His Word strengthen you this week.
We are blessed when we seek God for His strength!

Blessed are those whose strength is in you.

Psalm 84:5

Let’s fuel up in God’s Word today and see the results of abundant strength in each circumstance.
