New Power: The Comfort and Encouragement of the Father

Romans 15:13
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.”
SET:
Death and life are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21).
Such a small part of our body can create such a significant impact in our lives and the lives of those around us.
The tongue has the power to bring words of life, encouragement, hope, joy, and peace; however, the tongue also has the power to bring words of condemnation, discouragement, destruction, and discord.
Amid a world that at times rises with a cry of discouragement, God is faithfully the God of encouragement.
There is a new power that can rise in you spiritually, mentally, and physically when you receive His Word of encouragement daily in your life.
In a race, we know the power that rises within us when we hear those cheering us on, especially those who know us and love us.
You are known and loved by God.
You are not unseen.
God sees you.
He sees you running.
He sees you in this race of life.
He knows your challenges and circumstances more deeply and clearly than any person in this world.
He cares deeply for His children.
He is not a Father in heaven who looks past any of His children: He seeks to encourage, empower, and comfort those who are His.
How can we know that we are His?
God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, Jesus, that whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life (John 3:16).
“To all who did receive Him, who believed in His Name, He gave the right to become children of God”
John 1:12
In the race of life, one of the most powerful words of encouragement that God has given me is Joshua 1:9, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
In moments where I feel tempted to become discouraged, the tender, comforting, and loving words of my Father in Heaven fill my life with great power.
I see how He stands in strategic places in my race of life to encourage my heart at the perfect time.
I pray that you are strengthened today by the encouragement and comfort of God through His Word and the voices of His people.
Tune your heart to listen to His voice.
Life is in the power of His tongue.
