Matthew 6:32-33
For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
As you kick start the year ahead of you, what are some of the ‘things’ that you will be running after?
Positions, prizes, prestige, power?
Jesus said that these are the things that pagans run after and God knows the exact things that we currently need for our season.
Do we trust Him?
Are we willing to pursue His will, His ways and His word first?
God is calling you and I to think biblically and live biblically so that we will run after the things of the Kingdom and not of the world.
We are in the world but not of the world, thus we need to be kingdom-minded, living in a world that is constantly filling our minds with worldly pursuits.
Make space for God to reveal His Kingdom plans for you this year before your busy schedules and routines start rolling in.
Seek His righteousness and wait upon God for His directions for you and your family.
When you learn to put first things first, then God will provide what you need for 2023.
This is an awesome perspective, that we are created/given body, soul and spirit and the need to take care of not only our soul and spirit but also our body, with a Kingdom-conscious awareness.
