Verse Of The Week : 18 Apr 2022

April 18, 2022

1 John 5:4-5 (AMP)
For everyone born of God is victorious and overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has conquered and overcome the world-our [continuing, persistent] faith [in Jesus the Son of God]. Who is the one who is victorious and overcomes the world? It is the one who believes and recognizes the fact that Jesus is the Son of God.

Jesus has overcome death, a victory over satan’s plan to destroy the seed that will ultimately crush its head in the final battle.
The very fact that we have this victory, let us be assured of our personal victories in our own battles in this race of life.
Greater is He who is in us than the one in the world.
Jesus has overcome the world and our belief in Christ makes us an overcomer.

This victory must be declared and lived out daily through our persistent and enduring faith in Jesus.
Do not continue in your state of discouragement, defeat or even depression.
We all can have a victor’s mentality because of what Christ has done on and through the cross.
Although we live in this world, we are not of this world, thus we do not live according to how the world wants to dictate our lives.
Satan wants us to live a defeated life, slaved to sin and bound by his entrapments.

But we have a choice.
We are born of God. We can have a victorious mindset.
Live by that victorious faith in Christ!
