Of all the places we can run in this world, have you run to the gospel yet? The gospel message is not just a one-time message to hear. The gospel is God’s good news for us every single day, every step of the way.
What is the gospel?
The gospel is the message of God’s mighty, life-giving love through Jesus Christ who conquered sin and death and offers hope and eternal life. The gospel message is this: Jesus died on the cross for our sins and rose from the grave.
One thing that God recently showed me is that every morning He has given us a reminder of the victory of the gospel message. When we see the sun rise, we can remember the Son rising from the grave and rejoice in the light and life this Risen Son brings! What good news to start every single day!
May we run to the gospel today and recall the abundant love of God, the promise of eternal life and the hope of what’s to come. May we also run to others with this good news, for it says,
How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, ‘Your God reigns.’
