Verse Of The Week : 14 Nov 2022

November 13, 2022

Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen Me, do you now believe? Blessed [happy, spiritually secure, and favored by God] are they who did not see [Me] and yet believed [in Me].”

John 20:29

Jesus had to deal with 2 issues and conditions of the heart here.
One was unbelief and the other, lack of faith.
Are we similar to the disciples who doubted Jesus on numerous occasions even after witnessing countless miracles done by Him?
We have to be truthful with ourselves when it comes to believing God in who He is and what He says in His word.
God never lies.
His character does not permit Him to do that.
Thus, we can assuredly put our complete trust in His sovereignty and faithfulness.
Believing God should be a believer’s forte!

That is why God is so pleased whenever He can find the ones who ‘yet believed’.
These are the ones who are truly walking in righteousness and active obedience.
These are the ones who daily articulate ‘even if’ prayers, that no matter what the outcome is to a situation, they will still continue to put their absolute trust in God, praising and obeying Him.
The righteous shall live by faith.
Without faith, who can ever please God?
None of us have witnessed what Christ has done for us, yet, we’re called to be His witnesses, one that is not ashamed of the gospel.

Are you one of those that ‘yet believed’?
