“Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil.”
Ecclesiastes 4:9
Two are better than one.
Isn’t it interesting how when you run with another person, the run can feel so much easier compared to running alone?
The load feels lighter.
The path feels less strenuous.
The presence of another person is powerful.
Run together.
When there is an opportunity to run alone or run with another, may we remember that two are better than one.
Solomon in Ecclesiastes continues with this statement, “For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow.” (v. 10)
Running with another person will lead to collective strength and endurance.
There is the opportunity for greater joy, greater speed, and greater encouragement when you run alongside someone.
May we also remember that God says that He is with us.
Even when we are running on our own, God is with us.
He is the God of all endurance and encouragement.
He is our Source.
May we not put a limit to just running with one other person, for it says that, “a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” (Ecclesiastes 4:12)
Let’s be people who invite others in to join us as we run, both physically and as we follow the Lord.
Get ready for some great results and lasting friendships built!
