Reflecting His Glory: Be a Love Witness

Ready

“Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and His love is perfected in us.”

1 John 4:11–12

Set
Recently, someone asked me: “What are we actually witnessing about as disciples of Christ?”

At first, I thought the obvious answer was simply the Good News.
But then I realized — unlike the early disciples, we didn’t physically see Jesus walk the earth.
We believe by faith.
So, when Luke wrote in Acts 1:8 that we are to be “witnesses unto Jesus”, what does that mean for us today?

The truth is: no one has seen God.
That includes me.
But people can see God when His love is reflected through us.
Being a witness is not just about speaking the Gospel; it’s about embodying it through love, because love is the clearest reflection of His glory.

After salvation, as I began to walk with Jesus, I experienced His presence and faithfulness in tangible ways — through provision, healing, peace, strength in battles, and joy in trials.
These are not abstract stories; they are living testimonies.
And that is what witnessing really is: declaring by my life and words that God is real, God is here, and God loves.

The same God who provided for Abraham still provides for my family today.
The same God who healed Naaman still heals my body and heart.
The same God who gave David victory over Goliath still fights my “giants.”

No one has seen God.
But when others see His love alive in me — through my actions, words, and lifestyle — they catch a glimpse of Him.
Whether I am on or off the field, in or out of season, resting or running, my role is to carry His glory by being a witness of love.

So these has been the anchoring questions I have been asking myself this year:

  • How can I be a love witness at home to my wife and kids?
  • How can I be a love witness at work?
  • How can I be a love witness in how I steward my body?
  • How can I be a love witness to friends and strangers alike?

When we choose love, we reflect His image.
When we live love, we reveal His glory.
And when we love one another, we give the world a reason to believe that God is real.

“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

John 13:35

Go

  • Where in your life is God inviting you to be a clearer reflection of His love?
  • Who around you needs to see God through your actions this week?
  • What small but intentional act of love can you show today that would reflect His glory?
