Created for His Glory: Proud Moments

READY:

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”

Ephesians 2:8-10

SET:
What was a proud moment you had recently?
A skill learned, a record broken, a game won, a relationship restored, or a task accomplished?

Or maybe you completed a project with great satisfaction—one you poured time and effort into.
How did it feel?
What did you hope someone would say to you?

We all long for moments of recognition, to stand in the limelight, to receive affirmation and praise.
It’s natural.
But from the beginning, we were never meant to chase after our own glory—we were created for His.

God, our Creator, carefully designed each of us.
He put thought, time, and intentionality into shaping who we are.
Every talent, gift, and strength He placed within us is part of His divine workmanship.
He is proud of us—not because of what we achieve, but because we are His.

I am His workmanship.
You are His workmanship.

I imagine myself as a project in the hands of the Master Craftsman.
He envisions my life, shapes my path, and orchestrates relationships around me—not so I can bask in my own glory, but so my life can reflect His.

Every person is created with purpose, beauty, and impact.
Nothing God makes is without meaning.
By His grace, we are called His children—vessels meant to display His glory.

Every moment we live is a proud moment for our Father in heaven, as He watches His creation walk in the purpose He designed.
But this can only be fully realized in Christ.
Our true identity, our full potential, and the ultimate purpose of our lives become clear when we are reconciled to God through Jesus.
The glory-shift happens when our hearts are regenerated—when we stop chasing our own glory and start embracing that we are made for His.

When God created mankind in His image, He called us very good.
That wasn’t just a passing remark—it was a declaration of worth, purpose, and destiny.
He takes pride in His creation, and through us, His glory is meant to shine.

These are the proud moments. He is proud of you.

GO:

  • Are you proud to be called a child of God? How is that evident in your life?
  • How do you know that God is proud of you? How does that truth impact your heart?
  • How can we live each day unashamed of the gospel, fully embracing our lives as ‘proud moments’ for our Heavenly Father?
