Created in His Image: A Heart Fashioned

READY

“He who fashions the hearts of them all, Who considers and understands all that they do.”

~Psalm 33:15

SET
I love fashion and design.
I love creating visuals and making videos to showcase God and His glory.
Over the years, God has instilled in me a heart for creativity, along with a deep appreciation for simplicity—especially in fashion.
Even in running, there’s a “fashion” statement, an identity expressed through our running attire.
If you know me well, you’d notice that my running fashion has become much simpler over the years.

Minimalism is my approach.
My running gear has gradually been reduced—I go lighter and lighter.
A pair of running tights or shorts, my running sandals, and off I go.
Bare-bodied, barefooted—sometimes I imagine myself in the Garden of Eden, running freely, fully communing with God.
(If it were possible, I might even run completely naked! But don’t get me wrong—I’m not trying to expose myself!)

When I think of Adam, newly created by God in the garden, he was naked but unashamed.
There was no striving, no greed, no insecurity—just an unfiltered connection between Creator and creation.
He embraced his identity as God’s child, made in His image.
God fashioned Adam’s heart to carry His glory, to steward creation, and ultimately to reflect that glory back to Him.

In the same way, our hearts are designed by God to function like His.
He delights in seeing us carry out the good works He has prepared for us, through hearts that align with His.
He is constantly watching, searching for those who train their hearts to be in awe and reverence of Him—hearts filled with hope because of their intimacy with Him.
The closer we draw to God, the more our hearts are transformed by His love, and the more we reflect His glory.

No wonder He urges us to guard our hearts with diligence—for from them flow the springs of life (Proverbs 4:23).
God is always looking at the heart behind the works He calls us to do.

GO

  • Read Psalm 139:23-24. Invite God to search and test your heart. What areas need refining?
  • How has God been shaping your heart to reflect His glory?
  • Are there things you are holding onto—whether in identity, achievements, or self-image—that prevent you from fully embracing how God has fashioned your heart?
  • In what ways can you live with greater simplicity and freedom in your walk with God?
